Antibodies Against SARS-CoV-2 in Human Milk: Milk Conversion Rates in the Netherlands

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background It has been demonstrated that human milk from mothers who have infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) contains antibodies against the virus, which could play an important role in protecting recipient infant disease 2019 (COVID-19). Seroconversion is measured frequently around world, but conversion rate unknown. Research Aims To determine (1) prevalence and (2) dynamics of immunoglobulin A (IgA) SARS-CoV-2 amongst lactating Netherlands. Methods In this large prospective cohort study, ( N = 2312) were included between October 12, 2020 February 24, 2021. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to levels IgA G (IgG) serum ectodomain spike protein. Results total 691 (30.6%) participants had specific and/or serum. Of these participants, 524 (23.1%) milk, 356 (15.7%) IgG 199 (8.8%) both remain present at least 10 months after a polymerase chain reaction confirmed infection. Conclusion The 23.1% our cohort. This high might lead passive immunity many breastfed infants may serve as protection COVID-19.

Designing an ELISA Method for Measurement of Human IgG and IgM Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2

Background and purpose: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, an indirect ELISA method was designed to measure the human IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Protein sequence of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 was expressed in E. coli BL21 and then was...

In silico design a multivalent epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations

Background: Due to high genetic variation in human leukocyte antigen )HLA( alleles, epitope-based vaccines don’t show equal efficacy in different human populations. therefore, we proposed a multi-epitope vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 for Iranian populations. Materials and Methods: For this purpose, the proteins without allergenicity and high antigenicity as well as conservancy level from SARS-CoV...

Evaluation of an indirect ELISA for detection of antibodies in bulk milk against bluetongue virus infections in the Netherlands.

After the introduction of bluetongue virus serotype 8 (BTV-8) in western Europe in 2006, an indirect ELISA for detection of serogroup-specific antibodies against BTV in serum samples was validated for individual milk samples by the Central Veterinary Institute and the Animal Health Service in the Netherlands (Kramps et al., 2008). In order to develop a cost-effective monitoring tool, we now hav...
